ROBERT GYURKO

About

Robert Gyurko is a Sophomore at SUNY Purchase where he is studying Theatre Design and Technology with a concentration in Technical Direction. He has always had an interest in the arts and began working tech crew for the school musicals in 6th grade at MS447 in Brooklyn as a spot operator. Since then he has worked as head fly, head deck, rigging supervisor, prop master, lighting director, fly crew, and deckhand as well as set crew on numerous plays and musicals at MS447, LaGuardia, and Sharon Playhouse in Connecticut. In addition to his technical theater work, Robert has worked extensively in computer animation and design, using his self-taught skills in Blender and Davinci Resolve. During quarantine, Robert built a 8x12 cottage from scratch. He has also taken up photography as a way to capture his vision of the world and to further his 3d and animation skills. Robert likes to get inspiration through hiking, reading, and traveling.
